Weather hunter

This utility allows you to look for a specific weather pattern on the IVAO network. This will actually search the metar file on the server for you, which means its the actual weather you get when connecting to the network.

Let's hunt

1 to 4 letter Winds Visibility
ICAO Code Min(kts) Max(kts) Min(mi) Max(mi)
Clouds Temperature
Type Min(ft) Max(ft) Min(°c) Max(°c)

Quick Start

1 to 4 Letter ICAO Code:

To look for a weather pattern for a specific country, enter the country's first one or two letter ICAO code.
Ex: LG for Greece, C for Canada, etc...
To search within all the stations in the system, leave the field blank.
To request a metar for a specific airport, enter the airport's ICAO code and leave the rest blank.

Winds:

This filter takes gusts into account, and looks for wind speeds in MPS, meters per second, if METAR values are metric. The values you enter should be in KTS
You can look for winds above a minimum value, below a maximum value, or between the 2.
To look for winds greater than 25 Knots, enter 25 in the Min field and keep the Max field blank.
To look for winds less than 25 Knots, enter 25 in the Max field and keep the Min field blank.
For winds between 20 and 40 KTS, enter 20 and 40 in the Min and Max field respectively

Visibility:

Visibily is in Statute miles and the filter will do the metric conversion in the METAR when appropriate.
Usage is same as for the winds. The lowest value you can enter is 1 mile.

Clouds:

Look for a specific cloud covarage at altitude by selecting the appropriate values. If you enter BKN as cloud covarage and 050 as Max altitude, you will get all the stations with a Broken layer at or below 5000 feet.
001 is 100 feet and 100 is 10,000 feet etc...

Temperature:

Temperature is in degrees C, usage is the same as for the winds

Note: To narrow the search, fill as many fields as possible. Sometimes, METARs with a bad format will pass through the filter.
